“Love, Lies, and Extra Cheese.”
Rohan Shah had two great loves in life: pizza and peace. His family’s pizza shop, “Cheesy Delights,” was his pride and joy—except, of course, for the financial troubles threatening to shut it down. Between fending off complaints from nosy uncles about his ‘lack of ambition’ and dodging relentless matchmaking attempts by his mother, Rohan had perfected the art of survival. But nothing in his carefully planned routine could have prepared him for Tara Mehta—a whirlwind of chaos with a fierce attitude and an unfortunate talent for causing trouble. It all started with an innocent cup of coffee. One frustrated rant about bad dates, one loud declaration of “I’d rather marry the first person who walks through that door than suffer another dinner with strangers,” and suddenly, fate intervened. Tara stormed into the café, furious over a failed baking experiment, and in a matter of seconds, a ridiculous rumor spread—Rohan had proposed to the woman wielding a suspiciously burnt chocolate cake.
Tara, naturally, found the whole thing amusing. As someone who had spent years avoiding her interfering aunt’s attempts to set her up with wealthy businessmen, this accidental engagement worked perfectly in her favor. So instead of correcting the misunderstanding, she leaned into it with the confidence of a seasoned actress. Rohan, meanwhile, was horrified—but not as horrified as his mother, who immediately started planning an extravagant wedding complete with Bollywood-style dance numbers and a guest list longer than an airport security line. As Tara and Rohan tried to untangle the mess, things escalated. Tara’s aunt invited them to an elegant family dinner, where Rohan had to pretend to be her hopelessly-in-love fiancé. The night went smoothly—until Rohan made the mistake of insulting the family’s beloved pet cat, Biscuit. In a dramatic display of feline vengeance, Biscuit leapt onto Rohan’s plate, scattering food everywhere and effectively ruining the night. Tara, laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes, whispered, “If we survive this, I owe you free desserts forever.”
Despite the disaster, the lie had to continue. The couple became local legends—their fake love story making rounds among nosy neighbors and enthusiastic friends. Kabir, Rohan’s best friend, even started taking bets on how long they’d last before it turned real. Meanwhile, Tara and Rohan found themselves caught in increasingly ridiculous situations. From a disastrous double date (where Rohan accidentally spilled soup all over Tara’s ex) to an impromptu dance competition at a wedding they crashed, their chemistry became undeniable. The defining moment, however, came on a rainy evening, when a power outage forced them to huddle together in the glow of candlelight. Tara, uncharacteristically quiet, admitted, “You’re not as bad as I thought.” Rohan, smirking, replied, “And you’re exactly the disaster I expected.” They laughed. But as they sat there, watching the rain blur the city lights, something shifted. A lingering glance, an unspoken truth—they weren’t pretending anymore.
Of course, just when things started making sense, chaos struck again. News of their supposed wedding reached a local magazine, which ran a feature titled “The Greatest Love Story Mumbai Never Saw Coming.” Rohan’s mother was ecstatic. Tara’s aunt demanded engagement photos. The problem? Rohan and Tara had never actually discussed a real relationship. As panic set in, Tara proposed a dramatic breakup scene—something full of tears, betrayal, and passionate speeches. But before she could pull it off, Rohan interrupted her with something unexpected: an actual proposal. “Since we’re already pretending,” he said, holding up a pizza box with a hastily drawn heart on it, “how about we make it real?” Tara stared. Then laughed. Then said yes.
The final twist? The wedding happened. But not in a lavish banquet hall or in front of hundreds of guests. It was simple—a small ceremony in the cozy warmth of “Cheesy Delights,” where their closest friends gathered around stacks of pizza boxes and fairy lights. Kabir delivered a completely unnecessary but hilarious toast about fate, Biscuit the cat sat on Tara’s lap as if claiming victory, and somewhere in the middle of stolen kisses and shared laughter, Rohan realized something important. Love, when unexpected, is even better than extra cheese.
(You may see a LOT of cheese this week cause i think i in love with it😍💘😍!!)
